History

Established in 1995.

For more than eighteen years, Capitol Tree Care’s founder and president Bill Shelton has built a solid reputation as one of the DC-metro area’s most trusted businessmen. Bill, certified by the International Society of Arboriculture, is committed to providing quality service, regardless of the complexity of the job. His belief that Capitol Tree Care’s reputation as an honest and reliable business has proven to be recipe for success. While others seek to profit by cutting corners, or recommending unnecessary services to customers, we at Capitol Tree Care believe that a good reputation and consistent service are more important traits. Bill grew up in Northern Virginia. A graduate of Old Dominion University, he began his career in the tree service industry in the late 70’s, while still in high school. With more than 30 years of experience, he has developed a deep knowledge and understanding of arborculture, and is considered one of the leading tree experts in the DC area.
